2. The key points in brief
- On this website, we do not set any cookies ourselves or use any analytics or tracking tools.
- Fonts, images and videos are stored on our own server. When you open the site, no data is sent to Google Fonts, YouTube or similar services.
- We use data from the contact form only to answer your request.
- Calendly and LinkedIn are only linked. Data only goes to them when you click the relevant link. Their own rules apply on their sites, including for cookies (see section 5).
3. Hosting and server log files
Our website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus.
When you visit our website, technical data is automatically recorded in server log files. This may include in particular your IP address, the date and time of access, pages visited, referrer URL, browser type and operating system.
This processing is carried out to ensure the security and functionality of our website on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
The data is stored only for as long as necessary for these purposes and then deleted, unless there are legal reasons for longer storage.
The website is delivered via Hostinger’s content delivery network (CDN). Hostinger’s CDN servers process your IP address and the data of your request so that the page arrives quickly and securely. The legal basis for this is also Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
We have a data processing agreement with Hostinger pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
4. Contact form and email
If you write to us using the form or by email, we process the details you provide (name, email address, chosen topic, message) in order to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering it (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The form data is sent by email to our mailbox, which is also hosted by Hostinger, and is not stored in a database.
To protect against spam, the server briefly stores a pseudonymized identifier (hash) of your IP address and the time of submission. The IP address cannot be read directly from the hash. This lets us block mass submissions. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protection against spam and abuse (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Entries older than one hour are automatically deleted the next time the form is submitted.
We delete your request once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention periods apply.
5. Appointment booking via Calendly
To book an intro call, we use the service Calendly (Calendly LLC, USA). When you click the booking link, you are redirected to the Calendly website. Calendly's privacy notice applies there. Calendly uses its own cookies and similar technologies on its own pages, including for analytics and marketing. You can adjust these settings on the Calendly booking page.
We process the details provided when booking (e.g. name, email address and appointment) to organize and hold the call on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Calendly is our processor for this booking data.
Calendly may process personal data in the USA. The transfer relies on Calendly’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on standard contractual clauses.
6. Videos on this site
The before and after videos are stored on our own server. No video platforms are embedded.
7. Your rights
You have the right at any time to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). Just write to us at hallo@thedemostudio.de.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the authority in the German federal state where you live or where we are based.
8. Encryption
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize this by "https://" in the address bar.
